Beth leans over to me. "They had a thing for a while, a silly fling. She's still not over him I think."
Luckily it's not long before Abigail returns, with everyone else in tow.

"Who's hungry?" I step forward, ready to break the news. The ringing ends, and my vision goes black.

"Anyways!" Abigail interrupts. "Can you do me a favor and find everyone and tell them to come here? Since everyone is here it's time we start. Sebastian, you go to the cabins. You go to the field and get our artist. I will go get the two sitting outside."

"Oh hello!" There's a person there, sitting on the ground holding a sketchbook illuminated by the flashlight. "Have you come to see the stars as well? They're so gorgeous I had to draw them."
"Uh, yes." I answer, at a loss for words. How does a person react when they just saw someone dead, yet see them now so full of life? I scan the field, looking for anyone else.
"Actually, Abigail said to bring everyone to the mess hall. Everyone's here."

The field is quiet, there is no light except for what looks like a fallen flashlight in the distance. I approach and pick up the flashlight.
"Hello?" I shout, turning in circles. "We're meeting in the mess hall!" No answer. As I turn, I see something shiny reflected further into the trees. Something glinting with the light from the flashlight. I expected a broken piece of glass, but what I found is a shard from a mirror. Small red dots speckled the glossy surface. Looking closer now, I could see red on the trees and the leaves on the ground. I'm not sure how far I walked into the forest, following the trail, but eventually I reached the end. Up ahead, the flashlight lit up what I couldn't see in the dark. A body, laying face down in the leaves surrounded by red. It's neck all bloody.
"What..." A death, here? Did she trip and fall? Or was this intentional? I need to go back now, Abigail needs to know.
